Dripping with Pride Cross Stitch Pattern

June is Pride Month, and to say that my queer little soul is inspired would be an understatement!

For this Pride themed cross-stitch pattern, I was inspired by those liquid lipstick swatches all over Instagram. I wondered what it would look like to see a rainbow painted over lips like that and dripping from them.

I also looked at inspiration photos of lip biting, something I can’t attractively do with my own mouth to save my life.

I created the initial drawing in Procreate, colored it, added shading using a Color Burn layer, and then exported the drawing to turn into a cross stitch pattern. Getting the colors right was a little tricky, but I think I landed on embroidery thread that will work well in person.

(And you can always customize your own shades of the rainbow!)

I’m really excited with how it came out, and I can’t wait to start stitching this!
